SIC (US 1987) :
Aircraft Maintenance Training, Inc. was founded in 1998 by Phil C. Bohan. Phil's vision was to build the foremost training program for aircraft mechanics.
While working with Timco and Dalfort Aviation, Phil recognized that the best aircraft mechanics were being hired by the major airlines. He saw the need to educate the remaining mechanics so he began holding 2- to 4-hour classes after working hours so the remaining mechanics would be qualified to fill the empty spots. Because of the success of these classes, Phil retired from Timco in 1998 and opened Aircraft Maintenance Training, Inc.
AMT, Inc. hires retired commercial airline instructors to teach classes that Phil does not personally teach. Phil has sat in classes taught by these instructors in order to make sure they teach up to the AMT standards.
In December 2012, Phil's eldest son, Lee, retired from Delta Airlines in order to become Phil's main contracted instructor. The two bring close to 100 years of aviation experience to AMT, Inc.
